AutoCAD LT 2007 will not launch anymore

Dang - I've come to this forum twice in a week...I have been using AutoCAD LT 2007 for over a year now. For the most part happily. Today I could not launch AutoCAD LT 2007 OR would AutoCAD locate any of the files I had created when I tried to launch from the files directly. All the icons, folders, etc. are there - I just cannot launch anything. If I double click on the AutoCAD icon in my start menu nothing happens.

I could not find any useful answers in the knowledge database and if anyone has experienced the same problem, I would like to know how to fix it.

Thank you

Restart Windows, then LT.
A repair reinstall of LT might be needed too.

I have tried just about every trick I know - reinstalled AutoCAD, etc. but it just will not launch on this computer. I can access files on my computer via other computers on the network - It seems that AutoCAD will not launch for some reason.

Windows Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>System>Advanced
tab>Performance Settings button>Data Execution Prevention, turn it on
for all programs or explore the "how does it work" link perhaps.

Hey Dean,

Thanks so much for your reply.

I followed instructions from an AutoCAD LT 2006 fix when I searched the knowledge base - I applied the same steps to my 2007 version and it worked. In the Control Panel I went to the System Properties>Advanced Tab>Performance Options Tab>Data Execution Prevention click on "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:" I added acadlt.exe to the list, checked the box and restarted my computer and tried launching acad and it worked. It was the only "fix" I could find in the knowledge base when I tried to find an answer.

Thanks again for your help
