Hey im trying to plot off A2 drawings on a 600 wide roll, whats the best way to set the page setup so it plots off sideways to use the minimal amount of paper?

Cheers

Most plotters have an auto-rotate feature. others work by simply picking the
correct orientation of paper size.

You offer no insight to your device or driver.

Thanks,
Its a HP Designjet T610
When i try and get it to rotate it either dosnt plot off in the center or the plotter dosnt trim it off at the border.

is your plot dialog box fully opened out?
there is an arrow bottom right of it.
the portrait / landscape buttons are there.

Set the plotter driver to "autorotate" and you don't have to make any
changes in AutoCAD's plot dialog box other than choose A2 paper or more
commonly Oversize A2.

Simon;
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!
I was all set to create new Page Setups just to choose penplots and orientation!
I feel like such an ass that I missed the little "expand" arrow.
I couldn't believe AutoCAD would take such a giant step backward with the 2010 version.
(I'm actually moving up from LT97 (!), though I did have access for a while to AutoCAD 2007.)
Thanks again.

LT97? Plotting is one of those things that Autodesk kept adding "features" to over the years which made it seem overly complicated.
Sometimes its just better to start from scratch. Personally I think it's easier now (LT2008) then it has been in a long time or it could be I'm just understanding its foibles.
Maybe the Tax code could use a restart...
