A much better workaround for the NAV/ACAD LT2002 conflict??

(I just posted this question in the "Problem with AC1ST15.DLL" thread, but in hind sight decided that maybe it was worthy of its own thread in case there is a positive answer.)

A post by Gary D'Arcy ("Problem with AC1ST15.DLL" thread) got me thinking that there very likely is a relatively easy repair that could be performed to at least get our computers back into a state that, after NAV 2003 is uninstalled, an earlier version of NAV (2002 or 2001) could be loaded without interfering with operation of ACAD LT2002 (or 2002i). If so, it would be infinitely better than having to run with no Norton.

Any ideas, Gary? (Anybody?)

Yeah - hundreds of people *each* taking a half a day or so dealing with upgrading their OS instead of Norton and/or AutoDesk fixing the problem is a good trade-off.

You'd think they'd at least invest a few man-hours it would take to give us a decent/simple workaround to repair whatever was changed/damaged by installing NAV 2003 so we'd be able to install an older version of NAV and still use ACAD. I just love modern business!
