2014LT - Getting wrong commands when using mouse right button

I've just loaded 2014LT, and am having problems when I try do draft quickly.

I use my mouse's right button to enter my commands. When I enter a command, such as MOVE or COPY, if I'm drafting even moderately fast, and try to start to select an object on the screen, it immediately exits out of the command and then goes to another command that I haven't entered at all.

This is an example from F2 of what it does:

MOVE

Select objects: Specify opposite corner: *Cancel*
0 found
Select objects: *Cancel*

Command: _polygon Enter number of sides <4>:

Specify center of polygon or [Edge]: *Cancel*

So I try it again:

Command: m
MOVE
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: *Cancel*
0 found
Select objects: *Cancel*

Command: _CleanScreenON

and then again:

MOVE
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: *Cancel*
0 found
Select objects: *Cancel*

Command: _plottermanager

Does anyone else have this issue? The only way around it is for me to draft at a slow pace, and then it works fine.

I've tried using a different mouse to no avail.

I've also tried turning off autocorrect and autocomplete.

It seems to be an issue with the right click option on the mouse, as it doesn't happen when using the space bar as enter. I've always used the right click on the mouse for enter, and don't really want to have to retrain my brain to use the spacebar.

I believe you need to turn off INPUTHISTORYMODE variable for LT2014 to act like much older versions.

Thank you pendean, that did the trick. I set it to '0' and so far so good.

It's odd that the default is 15, yet in the help menu they don't tell what that setting is for.

Never mind, came in this morning and now it's doing it again.

A command is issued on the upstroke of the pick on the mouse, not the downstroke of the pick.  Be sure to complete the pick before moving off the command.

Software code doesn't change itself overnight all by itself: you missed something or somethng changed. Sorry, just a reality check.
Dig a little deeper.

@ pendean

Not sure why you think I need a reality check - I never said anything about software code changing overnight. What I'm saying is that I'm still having the same problem. I thought what you suggested had fixed it, but evidently it hasn't.

I wonder why it worked one day and not the other if nothing changed: try again? Did the variable change? start a new profile? using a different PC? update a mouse driver? Something changed, find out.

Problem solved!

Changed PICKDRAG from 2 to 0. (Pre-2012 Autocad setting was at 0, now default setting is at 2).

This is apparently only an issue if you use right click for enter.
