2014 LT inserting Block - scale factor greyed out set to 1000

Created a block, from another, already in drawing, save block as (4bay window to three bay inwdow)

When in insert, the scale factor is set at 1000 and I cant change this. My only other way around it is to explode a 4 bay, make it a 3 bay, then use the create and retain as block.

1:1 scale in model space same in block editor. how can i change the scale factor?

Cheers.....Q

scale factor? Do you mean the BLOCK UNIT "factor" on the INSERT command pop-up? The pop-up that has a help button, that when clicked, explains this is covered by the INSUNITS variable with a link explaining it's usage 🙂

So what is INSUNITS set to in your file? it's a per-drawing setting, not a universal one. Start there. I like a setting of 0 (zero) myself, but that may not work for you.

And people say you cannot detect sarcasm on such forum based sites!

Dean, perfecto (Spanish for perfect) worked a treat and as you well know, you are right in every vein.

I do love sarcasm and even more so when it forms an answer.

I will try and be a bit more due diligent in looking for Help myself next time.

Cheers.

That's why I put a smiley face 🙂
We all miss simple fixes, I do too. Don't worry too much about it.
