After an initial try with Freestyle I was little "underwhelmed".
The basic cad features are nice but I found the symbol libraries unimpressive. Granted that I only installed the trial version and as such I may have limited use of the program but the inability of importing my own symbols renders this application useless to my team and subsequent field users.
Given the many free "mini-CAD" apps available and other tools such as MS Visio, Adobe Suite, and even Autodesk Design Review I just don't see the value even at the reduced introductory price.
However, I'll keep an open mind to see how it evolves and perhaps re-evaluate it later.
Thanks for your feedback. Our team is hard at work on a number of new features. While I can't say exactly when, we are planning to have update releases which will address a number of customer requests and concerns. Our current wishlist is online at https://autocadfreestyle.autodesk.com/wishlist
You specifically mention the symbol libraries. What other types of content would you like to see included?
