Education

I am curious if anyone (besides me) is thinking of Project Cooper as an introduction to CAD and precurser to teaching 2D AutoCAD?

Any thoughts out there?

This is something that the Cooper team has been discussing as well. Educators, if you are out there, we want to hear what you think!

Now that it's been a couple of weeks since our release, we were wondering if anyone has any additional input in how one would be able to use AutoCAD Freestyle in the classroom environment. If any educators could talk regarding this too, that would be great.

As someone who took the product out for a long test drive, I do not see any value in using this app as a teaching aid for anything other than hobby drafting.

There are better apps out there (even from Autodesk) that better represent any industry any student is going to be exposed to in the job market. Better hobby drafting apps out there too (Fry's is a good place to start), and freebies than run circles around this one for real-CAD teaching tools.

Pass on this one, it's an underwhelming Version1.0 misstep.
