A few wishes

  1. Draw order set by layer order (like Impression).  I
find this to be simpler and well suited to CAD neophytes.

  2. Transparent palettes just like the toolbars.  The
toolbars level of transparency is perfect and this might alleviate
some of the problem of the palettes taking up too much
    space.

  3. Page size can be whatever the printer is capable of and
the scale can be set manually (if desired).  I notice there are no ANSI
sizes.  Why?  ANSI A is a standard letter and ANSI B is 11x17, both
are very common sizes even among non-CADDers.

  4. The palette collapse arrow is a little small.
  5. Is there a way to move all palettes that are grouped
together at the same time?  The only result I have observed is that
whatever palette is click and dragged gets removed from the group.
Perhaps the top one should be locked and allow the entire group to be moved at
    the same time.

I am currently testing this on a job that I need to
quickly sketch some concepts and am basically sketching over a few pics to get
the basic layout (no cad files available).  So far - Fun and simple.
I'll post a sample when I finish.  I am also planning on testing this with
Impression to doll-up the concepts.

Thanks.

Hi Nick -

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm going to add them to our official wishlist. These are great - and I'm really looking forward to see what you come up with!

Also, instead of a "recent fills" library, why not "current fills" in use?

Finer rotation control (at least by degree). From my experience so far it
seems to be limited to 5 degree increments.

Good stuff - keep them coming 🙂

As far as rotate is concerned, we are working on refining the gizmo. It does allow you to rotate in smaller increments, but it's kind of difficult to control right now (for small increments). The further you move the cursor from the rotate gizmo itself, the easier it becomes.
