AutoCAD Express Tools

I did not see this addressed in my searches, so I thought I'd give you guys a shot. I am trying to install Express Tools with Autocad 2002 on a new laptop that uses Windows Vista. When I try to run the Express Tools Vol. 9 exe file, an error pops up stating that it is not supported by a 64 bit system, therefore it will not install it. I did read something about moving Autocad into program files rather than program files (x86), but still not luck. Any ideas out there?

Have you tried using the compatibility mode?

I actually went another route and added the express folder, and ran EXPRESSTOOLS to load it and it worked. However, the express commands do not work now. They show up, but do not work. I know this has worked for others and can't tell what I'm missing here.

By the way,...I'm ingnorant to what you mean by "compatibility mode." Can you fill me in?

go back to the exe file and go into properties..  There is a
compatability tab, try a few diff settings.

Great suggestion, but still did not work. I tried every combination of the settings and previous windows versions, etc, and nothing. The error still says not compatible with 64 bit system. Do I even necessarily have to run the exe file for express tools to work? I was told that others have got it to work. I'm sure there has to be a way around this......

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem.
Running Windows 7 Professional x64 with AutoCAD 2002.
Trying to install express tools causes the same error.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

How do you get AutoCAD 2002 ro run in Windows Virtual PC? I cannot install Express Tools on my Windows 7 platform. Any suggestions?

Did you ever get Express Tools 2002 to work with a 64-bit system?  I had some success by typing appload in the command line and manually loading all of the Express routines.  That got features like text mask and the aliaseditor working, but no layiso or layon.  Also, it was only a temporary fix as you would have to repeat each session.  I still haven't found a 64-bit patch like the etv1-9.exe file that worked for earlier systems.
