Blocks and Toolbars

I would like to convert my blocks into icon and place them into toolbars so that it can be used as a type of button that would insert this particular block into a Drawing.
Does anybody knows how to do that?
Any answer will be appreciated.

AutoCAD is not designed for that ability: get a shareware icon drawing tool,
or export your block images as BMP file formats, and reduce in size to 16x16
in your favorite graphics application, then use that BMP file as the image
tile for your toolbar button.
Might be easier just to draw a new button, not much you can do with 16pixels
x 16pixels palette :smileywink:

To program the toolbar button is simple, and looks something like:
^C^C-insert;MYBLOCK

TOOLBAR command is what you use to create toolbar button macros, and attach
BMP files as the toolbar button image. HELP in AutoCAD has an extensive
customization chapter that deals with this exact topic.

Have you considered using pop-up image tiles instead of this screen
cluttering toolbar button idea? Very clean, pops up to 16 images in a nice
clean window, and you can double click on the image you want, and not have
to squint to see a basic 16x16 image of a block.
