Hello, Normally, when I create a project, I do the panel layout first, then the schematics. With a select number of panel footprints, (usually ones I've created myself and added to the menus) they will not automatically change their tag when I insert a schematic representation of it from the panel list in the schematic menus. Normally, you pick your footprint drawing, then pick your icon, insert and it will go back to the 'pick a footprint' screen. This is not the case with my issue. I can insert the component in the schematic once, and then it errors out and does not ask for another footprint or ask if you want to update. All I am getting is an error that says "; error: bad argument type: stringp nil". So normally, i will copy the tag from the component and edit the panel footprint and paste it there. Once done, i can surf it, but they will never update when i change the tag or a description. That is where I am at now.
