    Inventor to Autodesk Electrical

I created a wire harness in Inventor with all the refdes in place and so on, I then exported the XML file. I successfully imported the XML file to Autocad Electrical however my wire colors do not display on my screen. The wire layers show they are active, and the wires have the correct information.

Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong or how to display correct wire colors.

    Thanks in advance.

Think after you imported the xml from Inventor, you need to go to the create/edit wire type and change the wires layer color to the correct color you need. By default it is white if I remember correctly.

    Thanks.

You are correct, the wires come in white. It would be nice if that were automatic.

Also is there a way to import the wire lengths so that you could display them in the schematic?

    Thank you!
