Has anyone out there had any success generating ISA Standard Loop Drawings using the PLCIO Utility or any other technique ?
I would like to use any WD/ACAD E utility as much as possible without having to reinvent the wheel.
I've been given a different technique, but it requires too much work on the front end, outside of WD/ACAD E.
If anyone knows of a way to use a standard utility within the tool - or to massage that utility, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

The current release of AutoCAD Electrical does not include an ISA-type
symbol library though, I believe, there are users who have moved in that
direction on their own (i.e. creating instrument symbols per the AcadE
naming convention, adding the attributes that AcadE looks for, and such).
There are two features in AcadE that may be useful to users who want to do
this: 1) ability to have a "split TAG" pair of attributes - this works well
for ISA instrument bubbles, for example, and 2) ability to have AcadE
cross-reference between like devices on different drawing disciplines (the
WDTAGALT and WDTYPE attributes) - for example, valve FY100A on an instrument
diagram mapping to SV254 on the electrical schematic diagram. For "how to",
search the AcadE on-line "Electrical Help Topics" for key words TAG1_PART1
and WDTAGALT respectively.

Thanks for the reply N8.
I am going down the path from J.Z.
Now, I don't have the help from S.K.
So, out of necessity, I am becoming the ACADE specialist.
Everyday I am figuring out the tricks.
Our ISA technique looks good so far...
But, I have to post a new question to you + all about the default.mdb structure going forward.
Please see the new posting.
Thanks
