Clear Item Numbers and Resequence

I need to clear all the item numbers automatically assigned by the resequence items command. After I have done this I need to assign item numbers based on the manufactures. For example, the components we make or modify need to be first MFG “in house”. Then from there I want like manufactured components to group, WAGO items would be 10-25, Allen-Bradley would be 25-37, I think you get the idea.
If this cant be accomplished with the current software then I would like to submit this for the wish list.
