They already have a package that does what you are asking for in the Building Systems. It has 2d and 3d intellegent parts which can be tagged and scheduled. I would like them to add some of this functionallity to that package which would allow more tools for industrial type building projects.

I've been able to model these things ( c/w embedded intelligence
) since 1995 using applications I wrote, I just wanted to know
whether Autodesk had a stable off the shelf alternative. There
are third parties that can do much of this stuff ( I'd post the
name but then you'd nuke my post ), though I would personally
prefer to stay with my home grown stuff or an Autodesk product,
the very reason I inquired.
So to summarize, you are saying there is no intent to provide
full 3D modeling with this particular Electrical package now or
in the future; it is an intelligent ( cross referenced ) 2D
diagramming program.
