I searched through the posts and have found this issue for a networked installation.

We are using AE2011 with libraries and catalogs, both of these are changed on a daily basis, shared across a network with 10-12 users. Our catalog is 4,676 KB and exists on a new server.

A single user has no issues it is very fast, as more users come aboard a 10-15 sec delay for catalog lookup starts.

Is there a fix for this yet?

My company does not upgrade every year so we have to live with AE2011 for a while.

We previously used AE2008 with no issues.

When 10-12 people are using it that 10-15 secs adds up.
