When I try to point to my env file, or start a new project I am getting a "bad argument stringp nil" message. What is this and what could I have done to cause it?

This is a tough one. One troubleshooting approach is to turn the "Command
TRACE On" and capture the command execution sequence shown in your command
window. It may give a clue as to where the failure is happening.
