snapmode setting

Everytime that I open a new drawing the "snapmode" variable is set to 0, which disables the use of snap points.

Is there a way to make the "snapmode" variable set to 1 for every acad drawing that I open?

SNAPMODE=0 is the default setting and is stored in the drawing, so my first guess is that SNAPMODE = 0 in your template.  Open the template and change, and re-save the template will assure each new drawing started from that template will have SNAPMODE on...  or add the following line to acaddoc.lsp to turn it on for all drawings.

(setvar "SNAPMODE" 1)
