project wide update

When doing a project wide update AutoCAD locks up and gets stuck somewhere in the process. I have even tried to update the project over night and AutoCAD acts like it is still updating when I come in in the morning. Is there a fix to this? The update normally takes a long time to complete (30 min or more) and now it isn't completing at all. The project is about 80 sheets currently.

The computer I am running on has the following hardware;

2.2GHz i7-2720QM CPU

16GB of RAM

64-bit Windows 7 Pro

Nvidia Quatro 1000m

What version of AE are you using? I'm using 2012 and have updated more than 600 drawings in less time than that.

That is not usual. I assume no other user has one or more of the files open. Try deleting the project scratch database first. Exit Electrical and delete the file. It will be rebuilt clean when you restart Electrical.
