problem in wire nos.

Please see the attached AutoCADE 2005 drawing.
The wire nos. are getting placed at wrong places, other than wires.(for e.g. wire no.01,14,15). Please help in thhis matter.

You wires are closely spaced together so that wire wire numbers are
automatically jumping up or down on "leaders". Try this... run the "Delete
Wire Numbers" command and window the whole drawing to remove all of the wire
numbers. Now go to the schematic "Drawing Configuration" dialog and select
"Never" for wire number "Leaders" (in bottom right-hand corner of this
configuration dialog). Rerun the Auto Wire Numbers command. Now the wire
numbers will not try to attach to leaders and your drawing will look a
little better.

Yes, Nate that is OK,
But my problem is that wire nos. are been given to lines which are not wires. You can see in the dwg nos,1,14,15 are given to those lines which are not supposed to be wires.
Please reply for this.

Your drawing border is drawn with line entities that are on the same layer
that AutoCAD Electrical thinks are reserved for "wires". So it thinks that
the lines in your drawing border are actually wires... so it tries to assign
wire numbers to them.

You need to move your drawing border to a non-wire layer or convert it to a
block or draw it with "Polylines".

In this example you have sent. all layers are set to wire layers. Go to drawing configuration and change the all to the layer prename that you wish to use such as WIRES.

I have attached a copy of your drawing with the drawing configuration changed to no wire number leaders. I also unchecked the box that makes all layer valid wire layers. This was your main issue. I added WIRES* to the wire layer list as the only valid wire layer. I used Project-wide utilities to erase all wire numbers and I renumbered with the automatic wire number tool. You can add as many layers as you wish to represent various wire types and if you begin the layer name with WIRES the layer will be treated as a wire. This way you might have layer WIRES_14AWG_BLK, WIRES_18AWG_RED, etc. The rest of the line entities in your drawing would be ignored as being wires. You can also create a layer called JUMPERBAR if you wish to have jumpers carry potential but you do not wish to see jumpers on the wire from/to list. Also, like Nate said, you should consider creating a border drawing that is a block. You can add attributes and have ACE fill in your border. Search for WD_TB in the Electrical Help system for more about this.
