nameplate reports

Had this problem before, not sure what the fix is/was. panel layout and enclosure layout on two separate drawings. Nameplate reports on an additional 2 drawings. looks as if ACADE wants to update report #1 when running report #2. confused?

AcadE will update an existing report table if it believes you are running
the same report. Three things must match for it to be considered teh same
report. The first is the report type, in this case the Nameplate report. The
second is the report scope, this would be Project vs. Active Drawing. I am
assuming you are picking project but picking a subset of drawings for each
separate report. So for each report it looks as if you are running it on the
project so the scope would match. The third item is the Format File (.SET
file). If you use a different .SET file (can have the same setup just a
different .SET file name) then AcadE would see this as a different report
and not update the table but allow you to insert a new table.

Another way to do this would be to run one report on all drawings. Then when
you select to Put on Drawing you split the table when it inserts by entering
a number in the Rows per Section box. You can even have it split the table
across drawings by entering a number in the Sections per Drawing box. Then
when you rerun the nameplate report later it will see this as one table and
update accordingly. This would only work if you could sort the data and
split the table at the correct place. The Nameplate report also allows a
Special Break based on Installation/Location/Tagname or by Manufacturer. You
could look at these to see if this would split the table the way you want
rather than entering the number of rows per section.

Hope this helps,
