loss of polar tracking mid command

I am losing my polar tracking and also sometimes my object snap.  Is there something that I am doing wrong?  Does anyone experience this as they are drawing?  It happens mid-command and I haven't touched anything on my keyboard or mouse.  Please help.  This always slows down my progress as I have to re-set the properties of each command.

I need more information from you to understand your problem, what do you mean of "mid-command" ? Actually you can press F10 to turn on Polar Tracking and F3 to turn on Object Snap in your command operation.
