i wish they would test there garbage products

ACE2006 is all jacked up..

it is slower,
crash happy,
harder to navigate,
unclear layout basic project commands
they removed the basic command set some people used for 10 years.

sure it has pretty graphics and a stupid matrix zoom
but they are reducing the funtionallity and ease of use...

just anotherway autodesk is robbing its customers
make a new product every 2 years which is worse than the last.

why are they joining the ranks of bad cad programs..?

Some commands that may appear to have been removed have actually relocated
to the new project manager window. The new matrix zoom feature is on by
default for AutoCAD but can be controlled through a new system variable
called VTENABLE (set it to 0 to turn off this "matrix" option).

One new feature that users have been asking for for a long time is support
for MDI - multiple AcadE documents open simultaneously. We implemented this
in 2006 but there is a cost to having this mode active... performance starts
to decrease after a certain number of opened dwgs. The tipping point is
related to how much available memory you have on your system. So, it's a
trade off... single drawing mode (SDI) and performance versus multiple
document mode (MDI) and a performance hit when too many drawings are sitting
there on your screen.

Please contact me if you think I could be of help sorting out the changes in
2006. Email me at nate.holt@autodesk.com.

Thanks!
Nate.
