Transfer of custom attribute texts between parent and child components

Hi.

Is it possible to configure AcadE to transfer text from my custom attributes between parent and child symbols, just like DESC1,2 and 3?
I've got a "SETPOINT" value that I want to show on both parent and all children components.

THL

No, I am afraid AcadE is not set up to do this. It would be possible to
write a lisp function to do it using the supplied API calls but I can't
think of any way to have them included in the regular parent/child updating.

Sorry,

I think it will transfer if you make it a RATINGx attribute.

I know this is late, but I had the very same issue with custom attributes not carrying over.  If you do use the RATINGx attributes the values will carry over from the parent to the child.  You can just use the prompt field for the attribute to differentiate from one another.
