Tag for breakers and motor starters

Hello,

ACADE gices the same tag "Q" to both families. This is not always the case.

I would like to split between the two. Motor starters would get "MS" and Breakers would remain with "Q".

wd_fam.dat does not solve the problem.

Is it possible to split beteween the two?

Thanks

Dan,

I do not have my IEC books with me right now, but Q may be the correct TAG reference. IEC is very specific about what to call things.

Hi,
I bet it is correct by IEC, but if I wanted to split this two families and give them different tags, How would I do that?
Is it possible?
Thanks
Dan

Dan,

You could always "go Offroading" and edit the menu and symbols to be what ever you want them to be but if you need to be IEC Compliant, then both symbols have to be Q. (Based on 81346-2 two character codes, it would be QA for the Motor Starter and QB for the Disconnect.)

It is possible and if you have done any menu editing in the past, then you already can do this using the Icon Menu Wizard and the Symbol Builder. Unfortunately, I do not have the time today to give you a detailed response. Sorry I could not be of more help.
