These pin numbers and small contact symbols show up to the right of my connector after I insert a copied connector. They aren't attributes of the connector but they are grouped. I usually just erase them but what is their purpose and why are they showing up?
thanks

HI Va7YYupZ,
Its probably part of the Custom Component you "Copied".
You can edit the component using the Symbol builder, and remove the contact set and pins from there.
Then Re-save the component.
... Or did you just Ctrl c and ctrl v... in which case you probably grabbed the contact set by accidentally using the Crossing window selection method (the green dashed box).
Either way, I hope this helps,

Thank you, its not a custom connector though. I just did a quick test. I used AECONNECTOR and placed a connector no problem, then copied the connector and the items showed up. It's not a show-stopper, just strange. see pic
Hmmmm...
Does the issue occur on other projects?
or is it limited to one project?
If its is only on a specific drawing then try running an aduit (Big "A" > Drawing ultities> Aduit).
Can you send (post) a drawing with a working and a non working connector?
Let me know,

You can do this when you update the xref for the folder.
It's a kind of XREF I don't understand (try to add nex pins and you will see that there is no change).
Use the AEHIDEXREF command to hide these texts.
Regards.
Hi Va7YYupZ,
Also so you don't have to keep hiding it...
Check to make sure you don't have the "Component Override" toggle on, in the Edit Component dialog box.
