Showing Contact Information in the Schematic Wiring Report

There is an attribute on NO or NC symbols called CONTACT.
Is there a way to have the value of this attribute (NC or NO) show up in the Schematic Wiring Report.
I have reviewed the list of replaceable parameters in the Help file and did not see one that would accomplish this. If this can't be done, is there another way to read this attribute value.

Hi,

Do you want to have this NO or NC show up in the "Wire From/To" report? It
cannot be done directly but can be done by altering the optional "User Post"
AutoLisp utility that goes with this type of report. Let me know...

thanks,

Nate.

I actually wanted it to show up when I run the Schematic Wire Numbers -->Panel Wiring Diagram. But I would also like to know how to have it show up in the "Wire From/To" report.
Thanks

Hi Vicki,

Sad news on the first item. Good idea but I see no way to configure the
existing cmd to do what you're suggesting.

Let me think about the 2nd one. I think it could be done with an option to
the "User Post" feature for the report.

Nate.

Here is a modified "user post" utility (wirefrm2.lsp and wirefrm2.dcl) that
hopefully will insert "N.O." or "N.C." suffix on to contact tags in the wire
from/to report. If you want to try this, follow these steps:

1. Get into "c:\program files\autodesk\acade 2007\support\" folder
2. Back up files wirefrm2.lsp and wirefrm2.dcl
3. Unzip attached file and overwrite existing file names

Now, when you run a Schematic Wire From/To report, select the "User Post"
button on the right-hand side of the report dialog display. A subdialo
appears with 5 options. Pick the last option. The report will redisplay. If
you have the CMP1 and CMP2 fields displayed in the report, they should now
have "[N.O.]" or "[N.C.]" suffixes if the components are "contacts".

If you are running ACADE 2007 there is a User Defined Attribute feature under the Projects>Reports menu at the top. Add CONTACT to the list. I did it and I named the column CONTACT STATE. Run a wire list report. Click Change Report Format. Look near the bottom of the list of available items for the report, on the left. You should see a CONTACT STATE 1 and 2 for the From and To component. I will attach a screen shot of my report.

Thanks for all the help, we are using ACADE 2006, so I tried the User Post and this will help.
Thanks so much,
Vicki
