Good afternoon!
I have been doing some drawing and have gotten used to a fair old bit, and now I am trying to refine my template. Can someone discuss scaling with me please? My drawing scale is set to default at:
Feature Scale Multiplier: 0.1
MM Full size
...which in return creates:
Combined scale factor: 2.540000
Wire connection trap: 0.063500
I understand scaling, and how to change the project and sheet attributes, and also how to change the component scaling too if I would need to, but I don't know what I should or shouldn't be scaling at / to.
At the moment I am printing / plotting (whatever!) A4 using extents for draft and this fits nicely, but soon I will want to print / plot to A3 for my final copies.
Is anyone able to tell me what scales I should be setting please?
Thanks alot
Kris
Solved! Go to Solution.
I dont bother with all that scaling lark (unless doing a mechanical drawing).
Does the fit to paper tick box not do the trick? it does for me!

Indeed it works, but I was just trying to figure out if there was a standard to follow, and if there was I wanted to follow it! 🙂
Thanks for the reply!
Kris
I don't know if there is a scaling standard per se, In europe we just need to comply with IEC 61082 which defines document layout standards. Perhaps you could try to look at that, As for scaling In short it says don't make things too small on the drawing to ensure readability.
