Referencing

For Grid Referencing (horizontal & vertical ) I want to reduce the size of nos..(1,2,3..) & alphabets (A,B,C...).Also the size of lines separating them.

What is the significance of separator mentioned in referencing.

I have to do the referencing procedure twice to get grid reference.

Hi,
If I am right about the problem, This is what you do:
Go to 'Config Drawing' and then select the 'Setup' Option under 'Reference'. Change Horiz & Vert spacing.

I think what you are looking for is the variable TEXTSIZE. Type
TEXTSIZE at the command line and set the value you would like (the text
height). Note that this needs to be done before the references are placed.

I hope this helps!!

Please also let me know whether textsize works to reduce the scale of the wire nos.

=======================

Q6.1.1) How can I permanently change the text height of wire numbers?

A) To do this:
1. Determine the schematic symbol library in use and open drawing
"wd_wnh.dwg" in AutoCAD.
2. Adjust the WIRENO attribute's text height to your liking.
3. Save
4. Open drawing "wd_wnv.dwg", "wd_wch.dwg" and "wd_wcv.dwg". Repeat steps
2 and 3 for each.

That's it. Wire numbers for new drawings will come in with the new text
height. (old dwgs require ERASE WNUM and PURGE).

Does anyone know how to change the default color of a fixed wire number so it can be a different color than an unfixed wire number? When you set a wire number to fixed, the program maintains the same color. The only way I know is to double-click on the fixed wire number and change the properties.

You can change the color of the layer. The fixed wire number should be on layer WIREFIXED. Mine is Color 130. If you have several drawings to change, you can write a script file with the name WIREFIXED.SCR

-layer ;Layer command w/o dialog box
c ;Selects color option
6 ;Desired Color (yours may be different)
WIREFIXED ;Layer to change
;Enter
;Enter

You can run the script porject wide.

Question is there a way to bring in the new wire text height w/out erasing the old text in the old drawings?
Message 12 of 12

Use the project-wide utilities to change font styles and size for all
symbols. Use Update Block to update just one symbol to the latest version
from the symbol library.
