Problems with AE2012 startup

Since a few days i've got a problem to startup Autocad Electrical 2012

When i will startup Autocad he only says loading at the startup screen.

Last week he start up normally but this week i've got this problem.

It seems that Autocad hang on a file that he had to load, but i don't know which file or something.

Normally when i start up autocad a first time in the morning of a new day it takes some more time to start up.

Then i see in the startup screen that he load the menus and other.

But now he doesn't.

System that i use:

Acer Veriton M680G

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2,93GHz

8.00Gb RAM

Windows 7 Pro 64 bits with all latest updates

Has anyone else this problem to?

Hi mckuiper,

Appreciate your report and from your description it seems there is file corruption in your Autocad Electrical 2012 so it blocks a file(s) loading during startup which causes hang.

Try to repaire your Autocad Electrical 2012 via Control Panel > select Autocad Electrical 2012  > hit Uninstall > hit Repair or Reinstall > hit Repair button, it will restore your Autocad Electrical 2012 to the default state and all files modified from the default state are overwritten.

Hope it helps.

I have repaired my Autocad Electrical but that was not a solution.

Some times it takes a long time to start it up. Last Friday i need 2 hours to start up Autocad.

After a few (maybe 10 times) restarts of my PC Autocad start up.

I didn't have problems with this on Thursday and that worries me.

But tommorow, an other new day, a fresh week i have the same problems.

I don't know what the cause is of this problem.

What can i do else?

Hello mckuiper,

Have you tried to uninstall the ACE2012 and then install the ACE2012 again? if the repair and reinstall don't work. And also for your issue, we didn't encounter the same issue before.

Thanks,

I have try some things to fix it but it seems that the problem isn't a Autocad problem, but i'm not sure of that.

When i got the solution you hear from me.

Hi mckuiper,

Thanks for your comments and investigation.

Do you have some pending operation system updates that not had been installed when restart you machine ? and can you turn off your User Account Control (UAC) for a try ?

I think i've got the solution.

I have uninstall my network antivirus program (a local installation) and my Autocad don't have problems anymore.

The antivirus program that i have uninstalled is:

Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent

Version: 16.0.1331

It seems that my problem is solved but it is weird that the Antivirus block it because Trend Micro have never told me a program was blocked.
