Parts Catalog database

What is the use of RECNUM column field in the Parts Catalog database. Also the use of Display subassembly entries only for editing check box at the bottom of this dialog box.

Hi Arti Cadsoft,

The Record Number (Recnum) is for the Access Database.

Its how access stores its entries, you don't really have control over it.

The "Display Subassembly Entries only" Toggle displays the the components that would be part of a Subassembly.

The "Assembly Code" is the Main component and the "Assemblylist" are the sub components.

The value in Assembly list must match an Assembly code in order for them to "tie" together.

The toggle displays the items that belong to the Assemblylist for a component with a set Assembly code.

(this is done to provide access to the sub components for editing).

I hope this helps,

James Alger
