AutoCAD Electrical Users,

We are currently in our definition phase for future product development and
would like to solicit your ideas and thoughts on potential features in the
AutoCAD Electrical software. We are looking to hear
more from users on the "black box builder".

I would like to see more user defined capabilities that flow through both the symbol, footprint, database and reports. It seem that you should allow users to add/select a field from the database to include in a symbol and propagate the report field selection with any fields in the project database.
I would be will and I signed on confidentiality agreement.

I'd like to see a more user-friendly way to make sure your symbol gets named correctly, so that AutoCAD recognizes it and places it in the correct family for cross-references, etc. It would be nice if there were a prompt at the beginning of the process that would ask what type of symbol you were building, and then have all the standard attributes for that symbol highlighted in some way for the user to insert. Then, when the user is prompted for the save name, the correct prefix would already be provided.
Unfortunately, I am leaving the field soon to return to school and will be unreachable for the next few months for any kind of future development questions you might have.
