IEC Symbol size

When I switch from "iec2" to "iec4" symbol library the symbols I make are the same size.

ACADE does not scale symbols you make according to which library you have selected. The included libraries are simply symbols that were drawn at different sizes to accommodate different border sizes. The symbols are named the same in each library so you can do a library swap. When you do a library swap, ACADE simply pulls the same symbol name from a different library, so the geometry appears different. I have a custom library of my own. I place it first in the library path. I use the standard icon menu to pick the components. If ACADE finds a VLT1A in my library first, it uses mine, otherwise it goes to the next library in the path and looks for it. Be careful when swapping from JIC to IEC or vice versa. The IEC symbols are drawn in metric units. You will need to scale as appropriate.

Thanks.
So what is the difference between the two libraries?
Where can I find an explanation of the differences?

The attribute text size on components from IEC4 is larger than on those from IEC2.

The iec2 library (and gb2 and jis2 libs) are generally set up with a fixed
text size of 2 units (i.e. 2mm). The iec4 lib looks the same but has text
sized a bit bigger relative to the graphics - 3.5 to 4 units for the key
text values.
