How to remove deleted tag reference

How do you remove a deleted tag symbol reference?

Example: PB-0 was removed/deleted.  New PB shows up as PB-1.

How do you fix this to when inserted it will be PB-0 again?

Hi awestfall,

There are a few methods of doing depending on how the symbol was removed.

If the Delete Key was used: (you didn't use the ACADE "Delete Component")

Rebuild the database (type "AEREBUILDDB" in the command line)

Full rebuild (since the Database thinks that PB-0 still exists) OR you could delete the project database stored in the user section

(C:\Users\<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical 2014\R19.1\enu\Support\User)

If you deleted a wire number (using the delete key)

(this is usefuly for floating wire numbers or Ghosted wire numbers)

Run a Drawing Audit (the AutoCAD Electrical "DWG AUDIT" command)

(reports > Schematic > DWG AUDIT)

If the ACADE "Delete Component" was used:

Project wide update/retag

make sure you flag "Component Retag"

It will automatical restart the count.

I hope this helps,

James

Thanks, good advise.  I ended up deleting the local database (based off another search) but the AEREBUILDDB sounds a little cleaner/quicker.
