How to fix Cataloge Information

Hello Everyone,

I know how to create new symbols via Black Box Utility but the thing I am
looking for is somehow create a symbol, Assign it some DESC, Catalog
Information and save it so that it can be reused. For example, I created a
symbol, ACDRAB.dwg, for an AC Drive, Entered Catalog Info as AB Drive etc
and saved it.

How can I use this symbol ACDRAB.dwg so that I don't have to enter all the
information again. So far from my knowledge n experience, it is not allowed
in ACADE. Thanks

Hi Nouman Raja,

Click on the Components -> Insert Components List -> Insert Component
(Catalog List). In this dialog which comes up add your component with the
MFG and CAT information.
Use the same dialog to insert your components. The insertion should populate
the MFG, CAT which was preset.
Hope this helps.

Giri.
