I just called my reseller, he couldn't tell me a price. Anyone got a
ballpark?

In addition to your local resellers, more AutoCAD Electrical pricing information is available by visiting estore.autodesk.com or by calling 1-888-225-5842.

Upgrade pricing is also available to AutoCAD Electrical for AutoCAD users. It contains full AutoCAD functionality.

You can also register to attend a weekly webcast for a detailed product demonstration.

Call 1-888-225-5842 for more information.

I see.  It's more than PTC's Routed
Systems Designer.  Too bad.  I'm not a PTC fan, however, RSD is far
more impressive for the same price.  I was hoping AutoCAD Electrical would
be competitively priced.  Heck, I already have AutoCAD.

Unfortunately it is geared for one niche.  As
someone who does electrical, plumbing, and p&id, it would only cover
1/3 of my needs for a whole lot of do-ra-mi.  Then I've got to get another
program to do the rest.  Ouch!

In the end, it looks like a strong program,
especially if you're already familiar with AutoCAD.

What version of Acad do you have. You should be able to get an upgrade price from whatever version you are currently running.

I would say the main benefit as I have found is
that it cuts drawing creation time by about 25% and

drawing revision time by around 50% or more.
The drawing revision time really goes down when a client

changes the tagging format of items, i.e. relays
CR-124 and CR-345 are now tagged AR (Alarm Relay) and

MFTR (Master Fuel Trip Relay) the beauty of
Electrical is that all of the child contacts also update
automatically.
