How can I add Terminal Styles to Black Box Builder

When you enter BBB>Wire Connections; 5 terminal styles are listed with 5 empty spaces. I want to add a terminal style. I looked in ACE help and search the forum. Any ideas?

Any help out there???

Autodesk: If it can't be done, just say so.

Each existing style corresponds to symbols bb?##.dwg where the ? is replaced
by the style number (the last 2 characters are numbers following a
convention depending on wire connection direction). The easiest way to
create these is probably to copy an existing style set that has the same
type of connections to the next available number and modify the graphics.
This way the attributes will be correct.

This will not add any text to the menu. I am not seeing a way to do this
right now but I will look into it and post it if I find one. But, even if
nothing is added to the list you can still use the symbols. Once the symbols
exist in your library path and you pick on the style number the appropriate
boxes will be enabled so you can pick wich connection/direction to use.

Hope this helps,

No problem. Sorry I didn't notice the unanswered post sooner. Glad you added
a new comment to bump it up 🙂

Inside wdbb.dcl, you can add descriptions for you terminals.
After creating the bb?xx.dwg as Pat suggested, make the changes to the dcl. The best scenerio would be for an easier way for AutoCAD to allow you to modify these areas. Say maybe some kind of Wizard to modify the files. The code area to look for is seen below. As you can see, we use up to 7.

Good luck.

// :popup_list
:list_box
{
height=10;
key="trmtype";
list="0=None (wire conn only)\n1=Screw\n2=Small screw\n3=Circle\n4=Circle, num inside\n5=Square, num inside\n6=Large Connector\n7=Small Connector\n8=\n9=";
}
// :spacer{height=1;}
