File / Format Conversion

Is there a way to completely convert an ACADE file (using 2008), including ACADE blocks etc, to a standard line for standard (non attribute use) in ACAD. Our client will point blank not accept the .dwg file in ACADE Format because of its intelligent attributes etc. ....drawings fine, files no!

I know I can explode and delete all the attribute names but for 150 drawins this is a bit tedious. Please advise.

Thanks in advance!

KC.

The Special Explode command strips out all attributes and returns the
symbols to dumb geometry and text. I'm baffled by your customer's request.
Even dumb AutoCAD can work with attributed blocks. AcadE simply has a
specific naming convention for the attributes.

Thanks again Doug,

Yes, this is vexing, however, our client is the nuclear industry and they only approve or allow earlier formats of AutoCAD i.e. release 14 only, and have very strict layer and text code. I believe it's because of a proof test period before these newer formats can be accepted.

I have now discovered, the special explode button - great!!! However, is there a quicker way i.e. using lisp expression for example?

Regards,

KC

Quicker as in for all the drawings in one go, rather than individually I mean???
