Electrical Install

I haven't really seen anything here for my particular problem. maybe
someone has a suggestion. I administer AutoCAD at my company so I don't
really use any of the AutoCAD products.

My problem is that I tried several times to load AutoCAD Electrical 2008.
It would start loading then removed itself. Would there be a piece of
trialware that would cause this? The user has AutoCAD 2008 loaded, with
Raster Design 2008, Inventor 2008 and a few other pieces of software I
think work with AutoCAD but are not written by AutoDesk. The user has
standalone licenses for AutoCAD and Inventory.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Tina,

I am not sure what might be causing this to fail but you might look for the
file Acade2008Install.log in the users Temp folder. This might give us a
clue as to what is failing. There are a lot of additional components that
are needed to be installed for AutoCAD Electrical and maybe one of these is
failing. These include items like .NET 2.0, MDAC, etc.

I have installed and ran AutoCAD Electrical 2008 with AutoCAD 2008 and
Inventor 2008 both installed with no problems. I have not tried it with
Raster Design 2008 though, but I would not suspect a problem here but I
can't say for sure.

I don't know what fixed this but I did defrag the drive, delete the half
installed program folders and try again. It worked.

Thanks.
