Editing Text

I have just switched over to AutoCAD Electrical 2006 from 2005. I noticed that when I am editing text, the text that I select no longer comes up in an editing window. The text is now simply hi-lighted. Is there any way to reset the editing function so that the selected text comes up in an editing window?

One thing nice about the new In-Place Text Editor is the ability to see, as
you type, how the text is going to affect any of the surrounding graphics or
other text.

If you do not need this, you can set the system variable DTEXTED to 1. It
will then display the Edit Text dialog box as before.
