Yes, you can get the sheet number from the drawing.

It's stored, IN the drawing, in the WD_M block reference. Look for the SHEET-attribute.

What button do you want to check for an event on?

i saw that sheet attribute value, but no value in that..

If i Go to drawing properties,I can see the sheet number..

But in WD_M Block the sheet number will be empty..

How should i get sheet number of Particular drawing?

Can you post a screen-shot of the Drawing Properties dialog, and the SHEET attribute of the WD_M-block?

You have exploded the WD_M block. Hence, the attribute values are gone.

Do NOT explode the WD_M block.

Set ATTDISP to ON to see the WD_M block. Now you should see the sheet number in the SHEET attribute (when you double-click the WD_M block)

Set ATTDISP to NORMAL when you're done.

Yes I got it sir...

When creating or changing the sheet in AutoCAD Electrical, the Drawing name must also be changed..

Can we do that using vb.net?

You can give the DWGs whatever filename you want. Just remember to update the WDP-file with the new filename.

Open the WDP file with notepad to have a look at what it should look like.

My answer here must be "just google it". There are so many ways to open a text-file and read data from it in .NET

In the WDP-file you willl only find the following information about a drawing:

  • Filename
  • Drawing Description 1
  • Drawing Description 2
  • Drawing Description 3
  • subfolder-location

The rest of the information you'll have to get fra the WD_M-block inside the drawings.
