Hello,
Can i built a cble marker that looks like this?
How? trough symbol builder?
Thank you
Dan
Solved! Go to Solution.
The simple way is to open up the existing cable marker symbol, modify it (add some more detail) and save it with a slightly different name.
Don't forget there will be parent and child, horizontal and vertical versions.
This is much easier than starting from scratch.
Your additional data will probably be attributes (which you can name almost anything you like) editable in the "Show/Edit Miscellaneous" box.
Hi,
What do you mean by "a slightly different name" ?
Can I take the existing block and edit it directly and save?
Will this work?
Thank you
Dan
You can save using the orignal name, but you then loose the original block.
It is a better practice to save using a different name so you have both the original block and the new block.

The first 3 or 4 characters of the file name are important and mean something to ACE. The H and V are fairly obvious.
There is a document somewhere that explains this (someone will know). So best not to change those - just add a few letters and save with that name. Then you can't go wrong!
"Naming Convention"
1st Character
Either H for a horizontal symbol or V for a vertical symbol. Refers the orientation of the wire on which the symbol is placed.
2nd and 3rd Characters
Family code for the symbol. For example, PB for push button, LS for limit switch, and CR for relays and contacts.
4th Character
Either 2 for child symbols or 1 for everything else.
5th Character
For contact symbols only. Either 1 for normally open or 2 for normally closed.
And you can find this information in HELP. But the easiest way - just add "2" to the name of the changing component.
