CATALOG DATA AND MULTIPLE CATALOG NUMBERS

Hello All,

I am trying to add multiple part numbers through the catalog lookup.

I insert a symbol and the edit the component and do the lookup. On the catalog number I select I have a textvalue with CAT01=ABC;MFG01=XYZ

The symbol has the CAT01 and MFG01 attributes and the part numbers are in the catalog.

I though this has worked in the past to add the multiple part numbers to the symbol but it is not working now.

I know i had to exit the edit symbol and go back into it to see it.

I can manually go in and add these parts under the Multiple catalog lookup but we use the same parts over n over and this is a quick way to add the additional parts with little effort.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong???

Thanks

Dennis

Try changing the part number to a differnt part number and then come back to this one.

The script may not run if it sees the proper catalog number already in place.

So does what I am doing look correct?

I tried changing the part # back n forth with no luck.

I have also tried both of the following:

Deleting the symbol, purging the drawing, reinserting the symbol then assigning the cat# with no success.

Opening a new drawing, inserting the symbol, assigning the cat # with no success either.

The last time I used this was with AcadE 2012 and I am now using AcadE 2014 if that makes a difference.

Any other ideas anyone???

Thanks

Dennis

The format is correct in the database.

Post a dwg with the block in question and I'll give it a try on my 2014

HERE IT IS.

The catalog # textvalue is

CAT01=MCBH-00;MFG01=ABB;CAT02=MCB-01;MFG02=ABB;CAT03=MCB-10;MFG03=ABB

Thanks

Sorry I just assumed there was something screwy with your attributes. I should have done my own test first.

These attribute names seem to be ignored by the TEXTVALUE field. Rename them to ##CAT and ##MFG and the push works ok. This seems like a limitation. Other than using the ASSEMBLYCODE I don’t have a quick answer. No matter what I come up with, it will be a workaround because TEXTVALUE does not seem to push to the multi catalog attributes.
