Autocad Electrical 2014 and Project Publish not finding .ctb file.

I have an issue with trying to using the Project Publish feature in 2014. It does not load the plot style table that we have pointed to and instead outputs in color for a .pdf or what effectively is greyscale for a publish straight to a printer.

I have pointed Options > Files > Printer Support File Path > Plot Sytal Table Search Path> to a location where the file is. I also set the deafult plot style table in the publish setttings.

The same file will publish correctly when I publish project from ACE 2012. I went back and compared all the support file patchs as well as the wd.env files. I see no difference ( other than 2012 - 2014 related)

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Michael.

Hmm, I have seen in other posts that some screwy things happen when using dropbox as a working directory.  I personally would not use dropbox for anything other than a storage place and for file transfers.

I have used dropbox on previous version of Autocad Electrical without issue. But I went ahead and tried it on a file that I have just NOT on Dropbox.
The same thing occurs - When using Project Right click 'Publish' - In 2014 I get the output to .pdf in color, while in 2012 with the same .pc3 and .ctb file I get printout in Black with proper lineweights.

When I go and PLOT from a file in either 2012 or 2014, from Drop Box or from my local computer, I am able to get the proper output from the .ctb file.

It appears that the line below is the issue in the 2014.
"""
Enter plot style table name or [?] (enter . for none) : (c:wd_chk4_ps "PDO-r2000_ELEC.ctb")

(plot style file not found, set to ".")
"."

""

I have set my 2014 wd.env file to match ( with the minor changes in references ) the one that was working in 2012.

Any other thoughts?

Have you tried copying the plot styles from your default 2012 location to the default 2014 location?

I know that whenever we upgrade ACADE here, we have to copy from one to another before the new ACADE can find the CTB files.

In 2014 the default path is "C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical 2014\R19.1\enu\Plotters\Plot Styles".

Here's the 2008 version for comparison "C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical 2008\R17.1\enu\Plot Styles"

I'm not sure on the 2012 path but it might be similar to the 2014 one or the 2008 one...

I originally tried to modify paths to get ACADE only use one folder for the plot styles but didn't have much luck so I just copied them all to the new versions folder.

I have copied the .ctb file over to the default path file without any improvement....

Does anyone know what the lines below ( specifically c:wd_chk4_ps) imply?

Enter plot style table name or [?] (enter . for none) <PDO-r2000_ELEC.ctb>: (c:wd_chk4_ps "PDO-r2000_ELEC.ctb")

(plot style file not found, set to ".")
"."

I believe that in an earlier version we had found a setting to cahnge the sequence that it searched for stuff - but I thought that was catalog only and not plotter / ctb files.

any ideas?  It is getting tiresome to go back to ACE 12 to publish and then switch back to 14 to work.
