Annoying Save Problems

I have been getting this error recently and am not sure why. When trying to save a drawing i'm working on, i will randomly get this error that the drawing is in use (but i'm the only one with it open). I'm not sure if this has to do with a server/network problem or if it's an ACADE problem, but it's really becoming quite a hassle as it happens at least once a day. The error tells me that it saves it as a TMP file, which i can go and rename later as the file i was trying to save it as, but the file i was working on becomes locked somehow for sometimes as much as 10 minutes, and i cannot move it to another folder or save it or anything. Any thoughts on to what would be causing this or possible solutions?? Thanks in advance for the help. I've attached a picture of the error message i'm getting.

I'm just curious. Type SDI at the command prompt and change the value to 1.
Be sure you only have one drawing open before you do this. This switches to
single document mode. Try this for a while and see if it makes any
difference. You can return to multiple document mode by typing SDI and
changing the value back to zero.

I also sometimes (not always) get this message when using the next/previous drawing buttons. I am definitely in SDI mode. If instead I double click on the drawing in the Project Manager it opens no problems.

Bug in 2008?

A couple of us get this message often, as in a couple of times a week it seems. We question whether it has more to do with working on a network where our servers are located several states away and the amount of network traffic. We find that we cannot delete or move the files until the next day, at which time the .bak file that is locked has "disappeared". This is a very annoying issure for us.

We are still using ACADE 2008.

Scott
