Additional Symbols

Can you add additional symbols to the autocad electrical software without using the symbol builder, perhaps download a few symbols which can be incorporated into the software?

If you have the symbol already set up, containing all the appropriate attributes and with the filename in the correct format, you will have no problems.

Just add it to you custom library directory (create a custom folder in the same location as your current libraries then add that path to the library path in the top position).

You can browse to that directory to add the block, or you can edit your Icon menu to add the block to it.

If you have the block but it doesn't have the required attributes, open it as a dwg and just add them manually or use the symbol builder to get the correct attibutes.

If the name is not correct, just rename it.
