This is how I show 3 level terminals. Maybe that can give you an idea.

good idea testsubject but my ideal solution would be a terminal like rhesusminus

with all the reporting and footprint functionality in it

thinking about it if i could use two terminals side by side link them using the TSE editor with the terminals visulally looking like what i want ?

In this example, I can't see no reason to use multilevel terminals.

Does this look like what you're after?

We use the multilevel terminals to model 12 point blocks.  (And smaller sizes)

Have a look at the included images and see if that's what you are after.  (We aren't too uptight on the footprint being photorealistic.)

I went this route because using the regular terminals to represent a 12 point block caused BOM problems.  I would have 12 rather than one.

Have you checked with the manufacturer of the block in question?

They may have CAD dwgs of footprints that you can use after adding the ACADE attributes.

A ferw years back, I asked our local Weidmuller rep and got a CD full of footprint dwgs for their available products.

I just had to grab all the top view dwgs, add the attributes to the ones I needed and place them in the appropriate directory for ACADE to find.

i never draw a footprint unless its absolutely necessary

i look at manufactures websites

i check grabcad and traceparts websites

i call sales for blocks (you be suprised how helpful some sales people can be on the promise of a purchase)

if all else fails i have a decent pdf to dwg converter so i can convert sales and tech docs

lots of good ideas been put around here  which i will look at next week

thanks everbody for your input
