I create many survey maps at 1:100 scale

when showing  and dimensioning  a found point  very close to a corner I have to

exagerate the acutal distance because of the points sizes (The found symbol is several feet wide)

As is typical in a map you can create a detail.

I know how to create a viewport detail showing what I want

but I dont know how to turn off or freeze the label and cogo point / lable on the 1:100 portion of the map

I would like to be able to have a command that says

'select object to freeze in current viewport'

I have tried this search on the this board and google

freeze label VIEWPORT OBJECT VISIBILITY CONTROL

freezing by layers does not seem to be the answer for a single point or label

I have sincpac and splayfrz freezes more than what I want.

That point has to be on a layer that is frozen in one viewport and thawed in the other.

Thank you,  Although its a little more work than I had hoped , at least I know the layer method is currently the best solultion
