I am still awaiting the arrival of the Civil 3D book and general tips and tricks book. So excuse the 'newbi' questions in the next couple of weeks. But the question is I want to create a "title" or "header" outside of the viewport so it shows when prints outside of my title block. How does one come about doing this? This is similar to the header you would insert or create into a microsoft word document.

You could use the "plotstamp" command. You can access document properties and also custom fields to display where you like.
