    View port issues

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to solve my view port problem. I created a couple of new layers and for some reason the "new vp freeze" was checked. I have a tiff image on one layer and a jpg on the other. I created some layouts in paper space and when I zoomed to the area that had the tiff in it my tiff did not appear. I checked my layer properties and found that the "new vp freeze" was frozen. I unfroze the layers and did a "regen"....nothing changed. I still can't see my tiff in those layouts. I made new vports within those layouts and could view my tiff just fine just not in the vport that was created when the "new vp freeze" was on. Is there some kind of setting or command to make the tiff show up again in those viewports. The other issue I am having is that when I freeze any of the layers with the "new vp freeze" or the "vp freeze" nothing changes. I am guessing that is why my original vport wont reflect that I unfroze those layers. Thanks

Are you doing your vp freeze / thaw within each viewport while it is active (or whatever you call it when you double  click in a viewport)? I know it sounds simple but I sometimes forget.

    Hi,

Thanks. That was it. I have been at this for 11 years and you are right we do sometimes forget. Thanks again
